Smoky pork sliders ala Gordon Ramsay

Kemarinnya gw sama ade gue abis nonton Spongebob: Sponge out of water. Jadi ceritanya gini, ade gw janjian sama 3 temennya mau nobar nih di mol deket rumah. Jam 3 ketemuannya. Gw bilang kan, tapi kalo temen kamu ga jadi kamu jangan kecewa yaa. Kenapa gw bilang gitu? Soalnya gw udah mencium bau bau php dan omdo dr temennya si M yang seringkali nyebelin dan bikin ade gw kesel. Nyatanya? Gw tungguin sampe jam setengah 5 gaada satupun yg dateng loh. Liat muka ade gw yg sedih dan kesel yaudah dengan terpaksa gw menawarkAn nemenin dia nonton Spongebob 3D sama gue- walopun gw ga gt suka sama spongebob. Huhu. Tadinya gw nawarin apa nonton Insurgent aja ya? Lalu gw liat review dr rotten tomatoes cm 3/10. WHAT? That bad? Sedangkan spongebob 6/10. Oke fine, gw nntn spongebob! Dan ternyata emng ngantukin bgt, buat gw loh ya.. Soalnya ceritanya gitu gitu aja, tentang perebutan secret formula nya krabby patty. Tapi apa yg menarik dr film itu? Ada. Burgernya. Ohmen, itu daging gendut banget loh bikin ngiler banget. Langsunglah sehabis nntn lgs gw ngacir ke superindo beli roti burger dan keju. Mon, cici bikinin krabby patty ya (dengn pedenya menganggap kalo bs bikin burger enak). Kalo soal gini ginian ga lari kemna mana deh, lamgsung kroscek youtube dengan keyword "gordon burger". Yes ada! Namanya Smoky Pork Sliders with BBQ Sauce. Oke nampak enak- dan ganteng (ehhhh). 



Gordon pake bacon di campur ke dlam minced pork. Berhubung gw adanya bdaging babi seadanya punya nyokap di kulkas, yaudah gw pake aja itu. Untuk miced pork nya gw ganti minced beef.

Trs ada saus bbq nya juga kan itu oke banget loh. Agak susah sih pas ngebuletinnya. Dia retak2 gitu. Nah abis jadi gw poto mirip2in krabby patty. Sampe lupa buat kasih mayonaise sama mustard aghhhh. Eh tapi enak loh sumpah. Enak super! Ga nyangka bisa bikin burger ala ala burger king ahhahahah. Walopun foto krabby patty abal abal  yg gw post di ig cuma 4 doang yg nge like. Hahahaha sampe sedih gw. Mungkin kurang keliatan fascinated, padahal top bgt. I'm gonna make this again! Tapi jangan sampe kelupaaan mayonaise sama mustardnya pleaseee

Smoky Pork Sliders with BBQ Sauce

Makes enough for 2 or 4
olive oil, for frying
4 rashers of rind-less smoked back bacon, finely chopped
1 banana shallot - peeled and finely chopped
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
500g minced pork

To Serve:
Mini or regular burger buns 
Applewood smoked Cheddar cheese - sliced
Baby gem lettuce leaves
Slices of tomato

For the BBQ Sauce:
olive oil - for frying
1 small onion - peeled and finely diced
2-3 cloves garlic - finely chopped
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
6 tablespoons tomato ketchup

First make the barbecue sauce:
Heat oil in a frying pan, add onion and garlic with some seasoning and the sugar, and fry for 5 minutes until softened. 
Add paprika and stir to combine. Cook for 10-15 minutes until onion is caramelising, then add vinegar and let it cook out for a few minutes. 
Add Worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce, mix well and continue to cook for about 8 minutes until sauce has reduced to a dropping consistency. 
Taste and adjust seasoning. Remove from heat and set aside.

While the barbecue sauce is reducing, start preparing the burger mince.  Fry bacon in an oiled pan for about 5 minutes until almost cooked through. 
Add the shallot and cook for 5 minutes until it is tender and the bacon is crisp. Sprinkle in smoked paprika and mix well. 
Continue to cook for 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat, draining excess fat on kitchen paper.

Season the minced pork and mix well with cooked shallot and bacon. 
Shape into balls the size of golf balls and flatten into patties. 
Heat a large, heavy-based frying pan with a little oil. 
Season patties and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, basting with the juices until cooked through and coloured. 
Turn off heat and leave to rest in the pan. Top each patty with a slice of cheese, allowing it to melt slightly.

Assemble sliders in mini buns, layered with lettuce, tomato slices and barbecue sauce (any remaining sauce will keep well in the fridge). 
Serve immediately.
